Good for the “what happened?” half of paid search: performance questions answered with real account data through Google’s own server. It does not create or edit campaigns, and setup involves a Google Cloud project, credentials and possibly a developer token with production access.

- search runs Google Ads Query Language queries against your accounts.
- get_resource_metadata explains which fields a resource such as “campaign” has.

Requirements and setup
- Python with pipx.
- A Google Cloud project with the Google Ads API enabled.
- A developer token with production access, where required.
- Install pipx and enable the Google Ads API in a Google Cloud project.
- Configure credentials and, if needed, a developer token.
- Add the server to your MCP client using the configuration in the README.

Limitations
- No campaign creation or editing in the documented tools.
- New developer tokens may be limited to test accounts until they get Explorer access.
- Google notes it adds a header to API calls to collect usage data.
